Lost planet 2 game of the year edition

The plot begins with Mercenaries fighting against Jungle Pirates. After destroying a mine, the Mercenaries continue on to evacuate the area, in which a Category-G Akrid appears and attacks them.

After being rescued, they find out their evacuation point Where the Category-G appeared was a set-up and no pick up team awaited them. After failing to succeed, a "space Akrid" appears and begins to attack the group. After it is killed and the members evacuated, it is revealed they are clones of Ivan Solotov, a character from Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. The story once again shifts, this time to Waysiders, snow pirates now living in the desert.

They are returning from a raid on a carpetbagger city, apparently with heavy casualties and not much Thermal Energy. After stealing a train from the sandraiders, the group is ambushed by Carpetbaggers on the railway gun. After seizing control of the gun, they are once again attacked by Red Eye, this time they are able to kill it though.

As they continue towards their home, it starts snowing heavily, burying their home. The player 1 waysider notices a giant, glowing orb in the distance and declares "I'm so going to shoot the shit out of you! The orb seen by the waysiders is declared "the Over G", and its increase in thermal energy use will trigger another ice age on E.

Once the thermal energy is harvested, they will abandon the planet. The group of player troops stowaway on a shuttle headed for the space station NEOS. The plan is to use its massive firepower to destroy the Over-G before it reaches its final form. The plot shifts quickly to the "Vagabundos," A group of sand pirates. They see the Over-G in the distance and decide to head there. The Over-G survives and begins to regenerate itself. After awaking in darkness, Thermal Energy on all machinery including personal accessories appears to has been drained out, but as the sun comes up a vast sea of thermal energy is seen and all the VSs activate by absorbing the T-Eng vapor from the sea.

After all this effort and sacrifitions, the Ex-NEVEC leader declares that the planet has won, or at least that's what he wants to believe. Interested in diversifying your investments? Players can replenish their thermal energy level by defeating enemies or activating data posts.

Data posts also allow players to use their navigational radars to see incoming enemies. In the game's campaign mode, when a character's thermal energy is depleted, their life slowly melts away, which eventually causes death. The campaign consists of 11 levels.

Multiplayer also requires players to monitor their thermal energy level, but here, reaching zero does not cause death. Instead, the characters cannot use VSs or fire the weapons which require thermal energy.

Players score points by killing other players and activating posts, and they lose points for being killed or committing suicide. Post grab is a mode where players on opposite teams compete to capture as many posts as possible before the set time runs out.

Team-Elimination is a player team competition, and Elimination is a player free-for-all mode. Finally, Fugitive is a game mode where one person is marked as a fugitive, and the other players try to take away all the fugitive's points before time runs out.

The game starts with Wayne, his father Gale, and a band of snow pirates taking on a mission to kill a giant Akrid known as Green Eye. During their mission, Wayne is separated from his squad and watches his father's VS explode.

Wayne is left drifting in the snow and is frozen solid for 30 years. Wayne wakes up and finds himself in the care of Yuri Solotov and his crew of snow pirates; Luka and Rick. Yuri is particularly interested in the thermal extension or Harmonizer attached to Wayne's arm, which has enabled Wayne to survive all this time.

Wayne joins Yuri's band, and while on a mission to wipe out an Akrid hive, fights a woman named Basil. Basil tells him that Yuri has killed her husband and that she was looking for revenge. At the same time, Yuri mysteriously disappears, leaving Wayne to question his loyalty. Wayne barely escapes back to Luka and finds that their pirate fortress has been sieged and that Rick has been taken captive.

During one of their attacks, they discover Rick is still alive due to him being rescued by Basil. It is after taking Joe prisoner that Basil goes on to explain that the Harmonizer slows down the aging process and unlocks the powers to Gale's VS. III a safe place to live for humans. Horrified, the pirates go on a final mission to stop the project. Wayne confronts Bandero a final time, killing him and regaining his father's rebuilt VS.

Wayne finds Yuri and before dying from torture, Yuri gives Wayne an attachment to his Harmonizer which would allow him to unlock the true power of his VS. Wayne confronts Isenberg and after fighting in VSs, shoots him in the head with a single pistol bullet right before he passes out, losing his memory again.

Wayne wakes up to find Luka starting to melt all of the ice and snow from the planet, and slowly colonization begins once more. Capcom first introduced Lost Planet on December 10, at an invite only press conference announcing Jun Takeuchi as both the producer and executive producer, Kenji Ohguro as the designer and Shin Kurosawa whom wrote the original story. At the conference, Capcom announced that they would follow the tradition of basing the main character of their game after a real person.

I dont know, but after looking at the forums and the feedback reports, it seems that this game no longer works. I would have gone for it but i dont want to purchase then go through the messing about trying to get a refund for a game that sound slike it consistantly crash's or fails to boot up.
