Step 9: Click the Remove driver and driver package option, then click the OK button. Step Click the Yes button to confirm that you want to delete the driver and driver package.

You might get an error at this point saying that the driver is in use and that it cannot be deleted. This can occur if there is a document that is still stuck in the print queue, so we need to take a couple more steps. Step Right-click on Print Spooler , then click the Stop option.

Leave this window open for now. Step Click the Start button at the bottom-left corner of the screen, then click Computer in the column at the right side of the window. If the driver is deleting but the driver package remains, then there may be another user on your computer that has the printer installed on their profile.

You will also need to delete the printer and the driver for those users as well. I click on start, type print, then choose the print management tool.

When the Print Management utility opens, you will see a folder called 'Custom filters'. Expand Custom Filters and select 'All Printers'. This will list all of your installed printers.

Locate the printer that you want to remove. Right-click the printer and select 'delete'. Next, you need to remove the driver associated with the printer you just deleted. Click on the folder called 'All Drivers'. Scroll through the list of installed drivers. Select the driver s that pertain to the model printer you wish to remove. Right click a driver and choose 'Remove Driver Package'. This will uninstall the driver.

When you are finished, close the Print Management utility. If the uninstall fails, use the Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter in English , and then try uninstalling again.

For each printer icon that represents the name of your HP printer, right-click the icon, and then click Remove Device or Uninstall device. Other related HP software might remain on the system. If you do not want a particular software title, uninstall it from Add or remove programs. For OS X Go to After the software downloads, open HP Easy Start. Read any warnings that display, and then click Continue.

Click Finder. Double click HP Uninstaller , and then follow the instructions to complete the uninstall. If HP Uninstaller is not in the folder, continue with these steps. Select the HP Smart app, and then tap Uninstall. Windows 10 : In Windows, search for and open Add or remove programs.
